CONCLUSIONES El envejecimiento es un proceso multifactorial que afecta de diversas formas a cada uno de los individuos, siendo un proceso de tanta complejidad que aun en este momento no se han logrado dilucidar del todo los grandes misterios que se ocultan detrás de este fenómeno. Los avances moleculares y genéticos en un futuro cercano serán la clave para el entendimiento y manejo de este proceso natural que vemos pasar día a día frente a nuestros ojos. Hemos visto como la piel es uno de los órganos donde el envejecimiento deja su huella, sin embargo las estructuras subyacente y los demás órganos corporales también sufren las consecuencias del pasar de los años. En la segunda parte de este artículo veremos como la influencia de los años sobre el músculo, el cartílago, los ligamentos de sostén y las estructuras del esqueleto maxilofacial sumados a los cambios de la piel ya mencionados llevan a que la expresión facial de las personas cambie y por lo tanto nos percatemos de que el pasar de los años dejan huellas imborrables en cada uno de nosotros. |
